In the third quarter of 2024, the shoot'em up category on iOS in Africa saw notable trends among the top five games. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into their performance, highlighting patterns in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Survivor!.io from HABBY showed a fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at approximately $1.9K in early July, peaking at $2.1K by the end of the month, and then gradually decreasing to around $680 by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 1.8K in the second week of July and concluded the quarter with about 615 downloads. Active users initially increased from 3.8K to 4.1K mid-July but saw a gradual decline to just over 3K by the end of the quarter.

Zombie Waves-shooting game by FUN FORMULA PTE. LTD. began the quarter with a strong revenue of $3.2K, which dropped significantly to $1K by the end of September. Weekly downloads started robustly at over 4K but steadily decreased to approximately 1.7K by quarter's end. Finally, SSSnaker by HABBY experienced varied revenue, peaking at $646 in late July and ending at $273 in September. Downloads were relatively low, beginning at 193 and concluding at 168. Active users remained fairly stable, starting at 4.8K and ending at 4.5K.
